Day 1
We woke up this morning at 5:52am, ran around the house getting the kids and ourselves ready and were out of the house by 6:30am. We hopped on the first giant thing on wheels leaving Potrero and 8 hours, 4 bus rides, 2 coffees, one boarder crossing, a bus breakdown, and a dangerous Vespa ride later we arrived in Spanish colonial Granada.
This faux European city feels like a breath of fresh air. Vivid buildings, red tile roofs and large cathedrals were a sight for my sandy eyes. It's awesome how versatile our taste can be. I love the ocean view from my porch in Costa Rica, and I love the red rooftop view of Granada with the bell towers and mountain in the distance from my hotel room and could wake up to either every morning.
After checking into Hotel Spa Granada we explored the city by foot, refueled with some Mexican food, stopped for a moment of silence in the main cathedral, and caught the sunset from the bell tower of La Merced Cathedral.
Before tucking the chicos in to bed, we let them go for a night time swim under the moonlight.
Happy Valentine's Day Kristina,
