West Fork trail, Azusa CA

Today we wanted to continue our hunt for falling water but the ranger gave us disappointing news when he said Lewis Falls was dry :/. He did suggest however hiking along West Fork trail in Angeles National Forest and soooo we did.
I must admit that Southern Cali continues to surprise me with her hidden beauty. Not more than half an hour from my very urban neighborhood we found quiet, calming, gorgeous solitude. There was a soft cool breeze blowing through the wild sage colored grasses and rustling the spring green leaves. The water laughed as it rippled over the rocks. It was good day
