Powerful Pressure
|
After a year of serious science I wanted to get in a summer of silly science fun and repeat some of our loved experiements. When we were moving I had the "pleasure" of cleaning out my classroom and came across some cool books. We are using two great easy to read books for our science fun.
I have set up a science station outside so the kids can access it whenever they want and I don't have to worry about the mess :). I stocked an old desk with bottles, paper, measuring utensils, baking soda, vinegar, food coloring and some other random items along with the two books. So far they have gone out and used the station several times unassisted and came in happily displaying their scientific discoveries. Shnook did an experiment with water and air pressure that was that blew the kids away. That cup of water in the picture was still able to hold up the plate more than 24 hours after he did the experiment. Shmitty even gets in on the fun, mixing vinegar and baking soda to magically fill up balloons.
