Revisiting a subject every year can get boring, so it's important to
spice it up a bit. Every spring we revisit the life cycle of a plant,
and we try our hand at planting veggies.
This year my seven year old showed no interest in the subject so while
the younger two and I discussed the matter his head was in a book.
Today, however was different. Today he learned that wild violets are
etible and that sparked his interest. We went out to a field covered
with flowers and had ourselves a lovely time tasting nature.
They talked about plant parts and polunation. I was even lucky enough
to go home with a handpicked bouquet.
