Hopscotch math (you could ask questions and have the kids hop on the answers, i.e whats 2 x 4).
Play structure shape hunt. Have the kids find as many shapes as they can. Simple triangles, circles and squares for the little ones, cylinders, spheres, cones and so forth for the older set.
Tree ID. Names and type of trees at the park.
Playground history, who was the park named after and why.
Play structure physics. Down which slides does the ball roll faster, the
straight, twisted or bumpy one? Make predictions and record data.
Ease back into language arts by reading stories about kids on summer
vacation and start having the kids journal about their favorite summer
memories.
Lastly throw a going away event for the summer, make one last trip to
a spray park, beach or pool follow it up with something special like
cake and ice cream or making smores. Review your pictures for the
summer and discuss your goals for the fall.
